As long as it takes for it to run out of fd's ideally.  You could reduce ulimit
-n to the point where you can play normally and have it happen earlier I guess.

I'd suggest adding +msvcrt too just incase it's useful.  You might want to pipe
the output through bzip2 while it's running instead of compressing it after.
