Running the game after install gave me
11014 Version check failed
Using native winhttp wininet gave me
11018 File access failed during version check.
Using WINEDEBUG=+relay in either case gives me
11023 Unable to access server for version check.
I also get random freezes of the client but other times it works ok.

I then copied game data from my windows install. Documents > My Games > FINA...
And that gets me past the 11018 error. I thought it might have to do with
writing permissions for my home folder but they looked ok.
It seems that it will work with just winhttp but I get a lot of random freezes
and it takes a lot of tries(I have to kill it a lot) to finally get through the
update process.
I'm using the retail client.
