Try any wine version after 1.3.5

All versions prior to that seem to feed media=A4 to lpr no matter what you
choose  for page size. However, it is also necessary to set the default on cups
for the paper size you wish to print on because wine will not tell what page
size you have set even though it picks up from cups but I suppose that meets
your purpose given that you want your printer's default to be used.
