It seems that one of the dlls was causing it, but I don't know which.  I
removed them all.

This is a problem because the dlls are used in another program I have running
under wine.  Unfortunately the program in question is not a general release SW
and is used on a piece of industrial equipment.  So it looks like I'll just
have to live with it.
