I just noticed that with World of Warcraft Cataclysm beta 4.0.1 my home folder
as lost 1GB of free space.  From 3 hours of playing the beta.

The new beta downloads game files whilst you are playing the game.  My current
Temporary Internet Files is 165,355 items, totaling 12.9 GB.  On 64bit ubuntu
10.04 using wine version 1.3.2 which was a fresh install 6 months ago.
