Framerate in character editor before you enter the game
is 60 in Windows, 40-55 in Wine.

Framerate in game (regardless of whether you're in the pub in the bowels
of the boat or actually battling the floating jellyfish) in Windows
is 24 (looking at center of boat) to 60 (looking at sky), and in Wine, it's
about 9 (looking at center of bot) to 14 (looking at sky).

So Wine is about 2.5 times slower in the main game.
