The rgl_max patch fixed the freezing that I was getting (mentioned above).
Without it it's still there. I do occasionally get a black screen flash in WoW,
when entering buildings mostly, but it's quick and not gameplay hindering.
Starcraft 2 runs nicely as well.

Be aware that when compiling on Gentoo amd64 it fails QA check

I have to bypass install_qa_check() to get wine installed successfully (if 
using portage for compilation and installation), but I haven't seen any
crashes/instability yet.
