I use x86_64 Arch and the patch works great. Maybe the cause of your problem
is your custom kernel, try to use a vanilla kernel. You and other Archlinux
users can also try to build the patched wine with my AUR script:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=48462 .

To ae:
I have 2 feauture requests if you have time for them.
1) Could you please upload your patch with .md5 file for the security reasons?
2) You offered great support for dual-core CPUs. Maybe you could add support
for 3,4 and more cores as well? We would get better performance than on Windows
then.

к ae:
Windows.
