Yes, I can confirm that this bug is still present in Wine 1.3.25 from
Ubuntu-wine PPA.

In this build, however, I am not able to play any sound outside the winecfg
utility so I am reverting back to wine 1.2.3 from the same PPA until a new
version is available or until the sound issue gets fixed.

I have to mention that on the startup of the game, a "The program has
encountered a serious problem and needs to be closed..." window has popped up
but after clicking Close, the game is normally playable (except it doesn't emit
any sound). At the end, when I click "Quit" in the game menu, it gets stuck
with the following line in terminal:

fixme:amstream:IAMMultiMediaStreamImpl_SetState (0x290c5f0/0x290c5f0)->() stub!

..and I have to kill the process.
