Of course, the patch deactivates the gamma setting. What seems harder is that
the curves seems valid (too bright, but valid) so it's ok to accept them. The
problem might be that some calculation with a value from somewhere else results
in that bright curve. This means it should be a seperate bug (feel free to CC
me when you create one)
