[Bug 28029] Gunz launcher runs explorer instead of the game's launcher

looks relevant, so I tried it in git:

austin at aw21 ~/.wine/drive_c/ijji/ENGLISH/Gunz $ wine --version
wine-1.3.27-152-g1103cb9

But still fails:
