I can confirm that the 2D view is still black in wine-1.3.34 (for the 2010
version of the home planner).  The 3D view is fine, but the 2D views are black.
 You can drag objects onto the black space, and these are visible.  Shifting
them results in visual artefacts whereby there is a picture of the object in
the original position and in the new.  Forcing a screen refresh by minimising
and maximising causes the objects to be drawn properly, though the black is
still everywhere (this appears to require desktop 3D effects turned on to
refresh).
