The problem is still present as of wine-1.3.35-168-g5b93bb9 and can be
reproduced with the demo too (download link added to url). Terminal output
hasn't changed since the original report. 

After starting the demo a graphical welcome screen is shown with the <OK>
button in the lower left corner. Clicking on the button has no effect. The
mouse pointer appears as the system's busy (hour glass) cursor all the time.
