I get this bug when running World of Warcraft in direct3d mode.

err:d3d_surface:surface_blt_fbo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION (0x502)
from glBlitFramebuffer() @ wine-1.3.10/dlls/wined3d/surface.c / 3325

If I enable both multisampling (2x or 4x) and fullscreen glow (which is
default, can be turned of manually with "/console ffxGlow 0" ingame, the screen
gets black, only the foreground elements of the user inteface are visible.
As soon as I disable either one, the screen becomes visible again.

I think there may be a relation to the abysmal performance of the d3d mode,
usually the load on the graphics card (a gtx 460 oc) is so low, it doesn't even
switch to the highest performance mode. If I force maximum performance, the fps
increases from 19 to 20 or similar.

The patch didn't do anything for me.
