With both Erich Hoover's patch and the pulseaudio patch (comment #48) I
experience no sound issues at all. I agree with GyB, with these two patches the
issue is resolved. Worth noting here is when I'm playing I get the following
console output: 

"fixme:quartz:Parser_QueryInterface No interface for
{2dd74950-a890-11d1-abe8-00a0c905f375}!"

Ubuntu 11.04
wine-1.3.24-216-gd385675
pulseaudio 0.9.22-24-g67d18
