I am also affected with this bug.

Been playing Steam version of Witcher, but with previous Wine update (1.22?)
the game became non-playable as the mouse jumped all over the screen.

Now that problem doesn't exist anymore, but there is two mouse pointers
instead.

Wine has updated to 1.24 and Steam was also updated yesterday before I started
playing, so can't tell which is more to blame.

Progress and regress...
