hey guys,

here is a stab in the dark. I had this issue of the launcher crashing yesterday
when I put wow in to a clean prefix. now I had that problem with Starcraft II
where the launcher would no patch until I installed ie6 out of winetricks.  

now with WOW and SC2 depending on the same battle.net system it is not too far
a reach to say they are the same launcher just with a different  theme / GUI.
so I drop my wow install into my SC2 prefix and launched the wow launcher....
hey presto it worked.  it looks like the WOW launcher is now depending on ie6
under wine.

can anyone else confirm this????
