Did you copy the plugin to the right wineprefix?

"winetricks firefox" installs it to
~/.local/share/wineprefixes/firefox/drive_c/...

"winetricks --no-isolate firefox" is the command needed to install it into
the default wineprefix.

Also, your cp commands used backslashes, are you sure you got that right?
