[Bug 14881] Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 fails to install

My system is an Phenom X3. It does only have 3 cores.

I can click OK the summary screen. But thats it. The splash screen remains and
I don't see the Finish dialogue box.

I'm using the desktop mode. How do you view the hidden Finish dialogue box in
desktop mode? 

All the processes shown in my previous log do not terminate. At least not
within 30mins.
