I put the patch manually into a fresh 1.3.18 source code and compiled it in
Wineskin. I am using a Logitech Extreme 3D pro. I can confirm Mr. Nobody's
results that the GOG version of Red Baron 3D still does not see joystick
commands but that the joystick can now control flight in IL-2 Sturmovik (GOG
version). My joystick uses a slider rather than a digital throttle and the
slider works. So IL-2 at least appears to have full functionality for my
joystick! (I have yet to test if ALL buttons work, but the trigger does and
that's what counts the most :P.) I think I will next test Independence War 1
(space sim). Again, thanks for the patch!
