I have just tried this with 32-bit Ubuntu 10.04 without luck.  It appears to me
like .NET Framework 2.0 installs successfully, and then shortly after the SP2
installer launches, it crashes.  I have created a screenshot of the failure,
and a log of everything printed to my console where I ran "sh winetricks
dotnet20sp2".  I will attempt to attach these.
