This bug re-appeared in Wine 1.3.19. The crash also occurs if the message
window is not resized (sorry, I was wrong when reporting this bug). As far as I
know, it only affects the Edinburgh simulation, I have not experienced problems
using others. It works fine in Wine 1.3.8, 1.3.10 to 1.3.18 and 1.2.2.
