Subsequently, I found there is a new version of winetricks that does not
provide DCOM98, so I assume the latest Wine does not need that tweak. I created
a new .wine and installed Publisher2000 and Office97 into it, without using
winetricks.

Publisher still gives the message "Windows is low on memory or your hard disk
is full. Try closing other programs and freeing some space on your hard disk
before starting Publisher"

Office97 components run quite well (there are several problems which are not
the subject of this bug report, but Word and Excel seem to run OK; Access is a
bit patchy as to what parts of it work; Powerpoint wizards get into a failure
loop and it is impossible to close the window except by killing the process.)

As Publisher runs fine in the old .wine, but not in the new one, would it be
any help for me to post here the differences between the two? I regret I still
have not been able to track down the page which shows how to get Publisher2000
working.
