I made a log of "WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh,+tid taskset -c 0 wine riftpatchlive.exe
&>/tmp/log".  Agreed it is much too large, I had to pin it to one core to get
it to launch without error 1026 with the debugger running.  Filesize is 540.7
MB, if you think it'd be important I can upload it to a file sharing service. 
Here is a link to the rift forums where the forum moderator tells an individual
it is impossible to launch rift.exe without the patcher.
