[Bug 29128] L.A. Noire fails to launch

1) Install the game
2) Install L.A.Noire.v1.0.2396.Update.exe
3) Install Social Club v1.0.5.0 Setup.exe  (which you'll find when you install
the above)
4) Apply SKIDROW crack
5) Install d3dx11_43.dll using winetricks (not a full dx install)
6) Install .Net 2.0 using winetricks
7) Run LANoire.exe

I also disabled networking when running wine.

Using Ubuntu 10.10 x86_64
Proprietary nvidia drivers with an nforce 8300 IGP
