I've been able to load the serverlist by:
a) Renaming both files in folder LoadingScreens
b) Renaming only LoadingScreen.jpg

After renaming one or both of the files I've not been asked to download
anything new by the launcher. I did however patch the game before trying to
rename anything.

I have NOT chosen server/made any characters previously.

After selecting server I end up with a tiny empty window which was previously
mentioned, could be a another problem though.
