Console Error output redirected to file

I ran the application for long enough (1-2 minutes) to get past menus and into
game where the rendering problems becomes evident.

When navigating the menus it becomes apparent that they get progressively
slower. Could this be as a result of the game continually spamming the console
with the same fixme message?
