suggest that error can be caused by installing to a too-long path.
Not sure how Wine would cause that.

http://forums.bigfishgames.com/posts/list/101782.page suggests installing
Shockwave Player 8.5 may have helped a different game with that error.

I see there's a free trial for that game, adding url.
