The game starts without issues here as well, and in fact runs great. Must be
somehow a problem on your side. The game bundles it's own d3dx9_40. When I set
that to builtin, i get a bunch of errors and the games crashes.

So even if we can't reproduce the crash from Nathan, there are still bugs to be
fixed
