I see that you're using the desktop, this may be the difference in our tests.

GyB, can you test this too and give us a third opinion?

Bruni, can you please test and post in the bug below? It's a simple 600kb app.

In this bug two users reported it's working and I can't get it to work.

For reference I have an onboard intel graphics board using the driver
distributed in debian6.
