Sorry if I wasn't clear, I didn't mean to suggest that it was fixed.  It just
sounds like "blocking" might be too strong of a statement.  If this really is a
big deal then I'm rather surprised that no one has looked into it yet, is it
really that hard to find the correct place to call symlink()?
