Screenshot showing launcher window still open behind splash screen

Attaching screenshot that shows the launcher screen still open behind the
splash screen. 

With ie7 installed, the splash screen does not appear at all. The launcher
screen closes, and there is a pause of a few seconds with a blank screen before
the KingsIsle logo appears.
