Where to click to adjust settings to full-screen
I'm testing with Wine 1.5.20, Lubuntu 11.10 x86-64 (Openbox window manager),
Nvidia driver 304.64.
This issue shows up with the WinUAE Amiga emulator. It doesn't happen when you
do "winetricks ddr=gdi" and tell WinUAE to use DirectDraw. So maybe this is
OpenGL-related?
- Download and run the WinUAE installer. Run WinUAE.
- When the WinUAE Properties window appears, click Display in the treeview.
- In the Screen section, select your preferred full-screen resolution and depth
from the drop-down lists.
- In the Settings section, change Native display from Windowed to Fullscreen.
- Click Start to start emulation. After a few seconds you should see something
on screen.
- Press F12 to open the Properties window.
- For me, the window appears but I can't click in or drag it. I needed to
Alt-Tab so the properties window is active before being able to drag it. (Is it
worth opening a separate bug for that?)
- Drag the Properties window around. Exposed parts of the full-screen
background are not refreshed; they contain trash from the Properties window
decorations.
That happens when the Graphics API option is either Direct3D or DirectDraw (can
change that in the Miscellaneous settings page). However, after doing
"winetricks ddr=gdi", the problem does not occur with Graphics API set to
DirectDraw.
