+d3dx log (d3dx9_36=b, d3dcompiler43=n)

The game still crashes on start, it seems a bit later. The attached file
contains the log when d3dx9_36=builtin and d3dcompiler43=native.

Umm..I haven't yet been able to figure out how to do this.
