Commit 472fed41dd6238f9aead069da1d46f609daf425c (which fixed bug 29350) didn't
help here. However something like the attached patch seems to do the trick,
hopefully without breaking anything else in the process... Can you give it a
try and see if it causes regressions? In particular, please check whether bug
29297 is still okay with this patch.
