That works fine here after 'winetricks d3dx9', as suggested by
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=4976 .

Have you tried that yet?  If not, please do.  This might be a dup of bug 11675.

You may also need to run it in a virtual desktop, according to an appdb
comment.
