Ok I redid the tests.

I installed the demo first under wine, tried to run the game, it exits with the
TParticlesDef.Fetch error.
I copied the game directory on the ntfs partition, and started the game from
there the game runs... It's vey strange, how can I troubeshoot this ? There are
no file differences between the two directories
