This might still be invalid, but Stephan's log doesn't contain anything about
the pulseaudio driver. In fact, he has his Wine set to only load the OSS
driver.

Stephan, are you intentionally using the OSS driver? Is that the audio system
you are using on your operating system?

What game are you trying to play? It seems to be trying to open an OSS device
with a floating point format, but your OSS installation doesn't support that.
What confuses me is how this worked in the past.
