I updated and had the same issue. I solved it by creating a new wineprefix,
comparing differences, and narrowed it down to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control
Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics in user.reg. I had some REG_BINARY values that were
not in the freshly created prefix. I replaced my old .wine directory and
deleted those values and the problem went away. I am assuming the old code
created those values and the fix does not remove them.
