When I tried to install the latest version of the Kindler reader for
Windows/PC, I got the folllowing error message: The program Kindle.exe has
encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience.
This can be caused by a problem in the program or a deficiency in wine. You may
want to check http://appdb.winehq.org etc etc.
This program worked in Windows 7 but only installed itself on the Ubuntu
desktop to read the above message.
I installed it using the latest Winetricks version for Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric.

I tried installing allfonts in winetricks, but this didn't change the above
problem.
