ok, i checked vlc and it uses dsound, even when switching to win7. but what i
found out was that if you use winetricks to make an overwrite on dsound.dll and
use the dx9 one instead of the wine version the extreme stuttering goes away
and there are just minor cracks in the sound. still not perfect but at least
you can understand everything. I will install the patch you mentioned and try
again. Furthermore i'll try to find a prog that uses mmdevapi and test if the
problem is present there.
