I think there's a legitimate issue, although it's more of an enhancement than a
Wine bug as such. Even on more reasonable hardware that doesn't take several
seconds to probe outputs or causes e.g. screen corruption while probing,
probing isn't entirely free. Getting screen configuration info without probing
is a XRandR 1.3 feature though, while Wine's XRandR code is still all XRandR
1.2.
