The main bug subject is fixed in wine 1.5. I could also not reproduce the
pointer trailing issue.

There are still an infinite dump the following error but that does not affect
the gameplay:
err:d3d7:IDirect3DDeviceImpl_3_GetRenderState Unexpected texture stage state
setup, returning D3DTBLEND_MODULATE - likely erroneous
