I'm not quite sure what to make of this bug. The attached terrible hack seems
to avoid the issue, but I can't think of a good reason for why it should. I
think it also helps for bug 30045, although that one is bit harder to
reproduce. There are some indications that this may be a driver bug, but I
can't say for sure. If someone has some time it may be interesting to test with
a couple of different driver versions to see if it makes any difference.
