Joshua, are you on 64bit 12.04? If so - then you would have to stick with
creating chrooted 32bit development environment and compile Wine inside it (you
would hit some problems on this path although, read wine-devel mainling list
archive for details), or would have to stick into building and using 64bit Wine
- and I'm not sure it would work with D3.
