I believe the commit that made this bug appear is

I came across this bug yesterday, when submitting bug #31879. Aquanox demo may
hang during the installation (during the file copying stage). Just like bug
#31406, it is not fully reproducible: the installer may hang 1..2..n times in a
row, then it runs without freezing 1..2..n times.
I receive the same terminal output (and backtrace) as posted in comment #0.
