Fedora packages a real old version of winepulse, you might want to update it
first with the patches from http://repo.or.cz/w/wine/multimedia.git

skip the first few patches, everything up to and including "valgrind prevent
crash hack" is not meant to be used by others and just dumb hacks I kept
carrying around. The rest should improve sound though.

I usually update it shortly after each wine release if there are conflicting
changes.

Seems like in this bug, AEV_GetMastervolumeLevelScalar should just return S_OK
and set *level to something sensible (probably 1.0f)..
