Not sure if it has relevance to the problem, but here's the output from the
mscodescan script:

./Divinity2.exe imports following stub symbols:
  msvcp90:?_Raise_handler at std@@3P6AXABVexception at stdext@@@ZA
  msvcp90:?_Throw at std@@YAXABVexception at stdext@@@Z
