OK.... I managed to do this myself... I have libxcb installed and at least for
1/2 hour the game has not hanged itself :).

I would wait a bit while I do a bit more testing before declaring this a
duplicate of bug 31406. However, it is indeed beginning to look like that is
the problem.

I will report back in a couple of days to let everyone know how its going.
