>From the limited testing I've done it seems to be application dependent.  With
the new beta driver, Prey under Wine sees about 20 FPS improvement (GL Doom3
engine).  WoW becomes unplayable at 9FPS (For D3D haven't tried GL mode).

Fortunately you can toggle it off (default) and on with an environment
variable.
